From Lake Tahoe to Pyramid Lake, the Truckee River flows just over one hundred miles and is a microcosm of Western water issues. Life blood of northwestern Nevada, the Truckee River is rich in history and controversy. Stakeholders on the River include cities, farmers, wetlands, endangered fish, Native Americans, two states and the federal government.

To celebrate "the house beautiful," the NMA has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters to become the fourth location offered as part of the 2008 Designer Showcase Home Tour. The Home Tour will present three unique area homes open for self-guided tours and including cooking demonstrations with celebrity chef Jennifer Bushman. A guided tour of Frank Lloyd Wright and the House Beautiful will be the fourth offering on the Home Tour.
