Truckee Meadows Weed (Removal) Coordinating Group invites You to help beautify and maintain Your Neighborhhods, Parks and Creeks by "Pulling Together" to remove weeds during the 2008 Dig-It Event!
Locations:
(North Valley) Swan Lake Nature Study Area: Volunteers meet at Lemmon Valley McDonalds Parking off Hwy 395 and Lemmon Drive
Dorotskar Park: near West End of Mayberry Dr, South of Truckee River and 4th Street. Volunteers meet in parking lot.
Mayberry Park: at end of Woodland Ave, off W. 4th Street, West of Mayberry and McCarran. Volunteers meet in parking lot at end of Woodland Ave.
Oxbow Park: At west end of Dickerson off 2nd St. Volunteers meet in parking lot.
Volunteers are needed for annual
spring cleanup. Please bring water, gloves,
dress in layers, and wear a hat or sunscreen. If you have hip waders or
boots, we may use you in the wet areas of trash removal. Be forewarned
that you will be getting dirty, but the birds, wildlife, your neighbors, the
